Experience the wild at Parsons Hilltop Safari Camp
Parsons Hilltop Safari Camp is nestled within the wilderness and undisturbed biodiversity of the bushveld. The unfenced park allows for free roaming wildlife between the Balule Game Reserve and Kruger National Park. Guests can experience the African wildlife with our highly experienced ranger guide on the game drive in an open game vehicle or, if interested, on foot. With no big crowds and plenty of time to soak in the sights, every safari is designed around what you love most - from tracking lions to watching elephants at a waterhole. Come and experience it for yourself, the wild is waiting!
Game drives in open vehicle
Parsons Hilltop Safari Camp offers early morning and late afternoon game drives in an open game vehicle. These drives are led by our experienced ranger guide, giving you the chance to see African wildlife in their natural habitat, from grazing herbivores to the iconic Big Five.
Morning drives include a break for coffee or tea in the peaceful bushveld surroundings, while evening drives allow you to enjoy the magic of a sundowner as the sun sets over the reserve. One safari drive is included with your stay, but you are welcome to request additional drives if you’d like to explore even more (550 ZAR per person).
Bush Walks
Parsons Hilltop Safari Camp also offers the chance to experience the bush on foot with a guided bush walk. Led by our highly experienced ranger, these walks provide a unique way to connect with the wilderness and discover the finer details of the bushveld, from animal tracks to fascinating plants.
Bush walks are available on request and give you a chance to explore the bush up close and personal.
Boat safari
Meander along the waters of the magnificent Olifants River on the ‘Kambaku’ houseboat watching crocodiles, hippo, buffalo, elephant, waterbuck on the lush green banks of the river. We will take you on an unforgettable journey on one of the largest rivers in the Kruger National Park, enjoying the abundant wildlife, birds, indigenous trees, bush and grass associated with the African bushveld.

Stargazing
After a full day and a perfect meal in the African Bush, you can gaze at the beauty of the South African stars by night from our main deck.
Whether you're a passionate stargazer or just looking to relax in the peaceful surroundings, the night sky at Parsons Hilltop Safari Camp is the perfect way to end your day in the bush. With the stars lighting up the sky, it’s a magical experience that lets you connect with nature and unwind in the calm of the African wilderness. For the curious, our ranger can tell you all he knows about astronomy.
